Grazing Dartmoor Pony

I've come to the conclusion recently that any artist (possibly even the huge names of the art world) needs to produce two types of work.

Aiming for the mainstream

I reckon that as well as producing work driven entirely by your own internal muse, an artist also has to produce with an eye to the mainstream and what's actually liked by them and hence, hopefully, what sells.

So with that in mind, recently that's what I've been trying to do. Here's one example of what I mean; what I'd call a "pretty" photo (I hope you think so, otherwise I'm really off-base!!).

My recent post, Moored Boats at Bantham, is another example. Do you think I'm heading in the right direction? I'd love to hear what you have to say, so don't be shy, drop off a comment and share!

Oh, and it won't surprise you, it's available over at my Zazzle store

comments / critique / feedback / tweets / buzzes always welcome :)
